There's nothing like a gun-weilding apocalyptic soldier to grab your attention as you drive along and this billboard for new video game, Rage, certainly does that.

Not only do the special extensions help the billboard stand out, but the colour scheme also helps this creative pop against that lovely blue Californian sky.

These Rage billboards were snapped along Beverly Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard on September 8, 2011.

Steve Jobs, Co-Founder Of Apple, Dead At 56

Just a day after Apple revealed it's new iphone, their co-found, Steve Jobs, is dead.

After a long battle with pancreatic cancer, Steve Jobs has passed.

"We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today,"

Apple said.

"Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve."

"His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts."

Just one day ago, Apple hosted its "Let's Talk Apple" media event, during which its latest smartphone, the iPhone 4S was unveiled.

It was Apple's first press conference without Jobs as CEO.

Jobs resigned from his position on August 24, however remained a member of Apple's board of directors.


Jobs is survived by his wife, Laurene, and 4 children.

The Michael Jackson/ Conrad Murray trial took a heart breaking twist today as this MJ recording was played in full...

At the opening statements of trial we were all shocked at the brief recording of an incoherent MJ...we weren't used to hearing him like that.

Today the prosecutors played the entire audio, where Michael explains his love for children, he hurts like they hurt....and what he plans to do about it.



Here is the transcript of the recording from Dr. Murray's cellphone:

MJ:

“Elvis didn’t do it. Beatles didn’t do it. We have to be phenomenal. When people leave this show, when people leave my show, I want them to say, I’ve never seen nothing like this in my life. Go. Go. I’ve never seen nothing like this. Go. It’s amazing. He’s the greatest entertainer in the world. I’m taking that money, a million children, children’s hospital, the biggest in the world. Michael Jackson Children’s Hospital. Gonna have a movie theater, game room. Children are depressed. The — in those hospitals, no game room, no movie theater. They’re sick because they’re depressed. Their mind is depressing them. I want to give them that. I care about them, them angels. God wants me to do it. God wants me to do it. I’m gonna do it, Conrad.”

Murray:

“I know you would.”

MJ:

“Don’t have enough hope, no more hope. That’s the next generation that’s gonna save our planet, starting with — we’ll talk about it. United States. Europe. Prague, my babies. They walk around with no mother. They drop them off, they leave — a psychological degradation of that. They reach out to me — please take me with you.”

Murray:

“Mmnh-mmmh.”

MJ:

“I want to do that for them.”

Murray:

“Mmnh-mmnh.”

MJ:

“I’m gonna do that for them. That will be remembered more than my performances. My performances will be up there helping my children and always be my dream. I love them. I love them because I didn’t have a childhood. I had no childhood. I feel their pain. I feel their hurt. I can deal with it. ‘Heal the World.’ ‘We Are the World.’ ‘Will You Be There.’ ‘The Lost Children.’ These are the songs I’ve written because I hurt, you know, I hurt.”

Thirteen seconds of silence.

Murray:

“You OK?”

Eight seconds of silence.

MJ:

“I am asleep.”

Sounds like Michael had a lot of plans for the world....

Battle of the billboards: Sofia Vergara for Kmart vs Burberry Body...

Today it's a real battle royal of the body billboards with Sofia Vergara for Kmart facing off against Rosie Huntington-Whiteley along L.A.'s Sunset Boulevard.

The hilarious and gorgeous Modern Family star, Sofia Vergara, certainly works with what she's got, whilst the Transformers: Dark of the Moon star and model isn't shy about baring all either.

What is quite funny though is that the reclined pose used by each lovely lady is almost identical, and being located in such close proximity makes for an almost mirror image visual in the skies along the busy boulevard.

These fashionable billboards for Sophia Vergera's new clothes line at Kmart and for Burberry's new designer fragrance, Body, were snapped on September 28, 2011.

The Burberry Body billboard is certainly more risque, but the voluptuous Modern Family star is riding high on the show's popularity at the moment, so is equally eye-catching.

With his highly anticipated sophomore LP, Take Care, set to hit shelves in a couple weeks on his birthday, October 24.... Drake made “Headlines” this week as he ties Diddy’s Billboard record for most number one rap songs.

Another Celeb Break-Up.... Leonardo DiCaprio & Blake Lively Call It Quits

Ladies, Leo is now a single man again.....

Always sad to hear of our fav celebs, or anyone for that matter, breaking up.

Leonardo DiCaprio & Blake Lively's reps allegedly confirmed that the couple split after five months together.

The pair "remain friends," according to the reps.

DiCaprio, 36, had just ended his relationship with Israeli model Bar Rafaeli when he hooked up with Lively, 24. Bar is reportedly dating the son of French president Nicolas Sarkozy.

Lively stars in "Gossip Girl" while Leo plays J. Edgar Hoover in the upcoming film "J. Edgar."

Is he the SEXIEST MAN ALIVE?

Robert Pattinson has fought off competition from his "Twilight" co-star Taylor Lautner to land the top spot in a U.K. magazine's sexiest man poll.

Pattinson topped the list in Britain's Glamour for the third year running, leaving Lautner to trail in second place.




"Pirates of the Caribbean" star Johnny Depp came third in the rundown, while soccer ace David Beckham was named fourth sexiest. "High School Musical" hunk Zac Efron rounded out the top five.

Beyonce's Mom, Tina Knowles was featured at the University of Houston's "Friends of Women's Studies Living Archives" program, which honors the achievements of local women.



A tweet went out today letting everyone know Beyonce was in the building...that's when 100's of students went bizzerk!

Forbes Magazine has just released its annual list for Entertainment’s Highest Earning Women, and as usual, Oprah Winfrey nabbed the first place with $290 million between May of 2010 and May 2011.

Singer Lady Gaga took the second spot with $90 million thanks to her constant touring, music sales, endorsement deals and merchandise.

Perhaps the biggest surprise here is Bethenny Frankel, a former Real Housewives of New York City alum and current star of her own reality series on Bravo.



Frankel hit it big after she sold her Skinny Girl Margarita mix to Fortune Brands for a rumored $100 million. This past year she was able to cash in around $55 million.



Tied for fourth place are supermodel Gisele Bundchen, Taylor Swift, Ellen DeGeneres and Judge Judy with $45 million each.

Katy Perry’s next with $44 million while Beyonce and author Danielle Steel both made $35 million.
